Quiet time, or I suppose more
formally called Individual Worship or Spiritual Introspection, is the act of
communing with God by silently spending time in worship of Him or Her. Almost
all formal religions I know of have a form of this, and is almost always the
most basic expression of faith. From Christianity’s almost unstructured prayer
to the more formal Muslim practice of Salat, among many forms, quiet worship is
most often a corner stone to any form of faith.

Reflections: On Quiet Time

Reflections: Following you is not the same as Running away
I ran from the world. I ran because I thought running away from the world means I'm running towards God. I ran because I thought if I stayed as far away from the world as possible, I'm doing God's will. I ran and ran and ran until my legs tired out. I ran and ran and ran until my legs bled out. The world caught up to me, whispered in my ear. I was afraid, I was really afraid; it was then that I realized that I ran from the world because I was afraid of it. It was me who ran.

The First Steps
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15.
I have always wanted to have a faith blog. Ever since I begun blogging way back when Multiply was the premiere social website (this was before Facebook took that prestige), I have always enjoyed blogging about my faith. I know very little people paid any attention to these posts (and maybe even less given that I don't have very many readers in blogger apart from the people I know quite personally), but it was still a joy to share my faith in the form I am most comfortable with.

Show me faith that endures and longs
For you only. For in my despair you alone listened,
To you alone belongs my faith and strength.
Father, show me hands that heal and mend,
Show me love that cares for other men and women.
May your will be done in all things, in my regard, Oh Father,
That even if I fall, You alone may be exalted forever.
Amen.
